Welcome to the Anderson Lab

Our group is broadly interested in understanding how immune tolerance is controlled and its relationship to autoimmune diseases.  Please feel free to explore our website to learn more.

Shown below is immunostaining of an extrathymic Aire-expressing cell (eTAC) stained for GFP in green and Aire in red.  Recent studies from our group suggest this cell may play a role in promoting immune tolerance (Gardner et al., Science 2008, 321:843).
